Hello all, went to a farm auction with my wife and daughter for a burger and pop this past may, came home with a 1952 Chev 6400 2 ton, mostly because the wife became attached to it. Truck has had a back yard paint job, and has a new 14 ft grain box so looks very good from a few steps back. Clutch was slipping and no brakes so hauled it the short distance home and started looking at it more closely. Added some oil to the master cylinder, changed a headlight, and give it a test drive and clutch started to grab good so put it on the road. Over the summer we used it to clear out our lake lot tree's and haul in sand and black dirt from the farm 30 miles away. On the last load the rear diff suffered a failure so has been sitting while I have been trying to find parts with not much success so far. Hope to get it back on the road this month to haul in the fire wood and get it ready to haul the snowmobiles to the local rallies this winter. We plan to keep getting the truck back to A1 condition over the years which shouldnt take to much. It it such a joy to cruise down the road with the old girl, cant wait again.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
