A pair of 3100 1/2T fenders I had sandblasted revealed matching directional light mounting holes in each fender. Does this mean they are 3800 series fenders? They fit my 1/2T so it doesn't matter to me. Just curious.

If the holes are below the headlights like those shown on this truck they are most likely off a GMC. These were the factory installed park light on all series of GMC.

If the holes are on top of the fenders like these they were available from several sources including GM as dealer installed accessories.

These could be installed on any truck and would not indicate series.

Brad, They would be similar to the top fender mounted directional lights as per your second pic link. Thank you for the explanation on fitting these as aftermarket and not factory. I'll have to decide now if I'll plug weld the holes or search for a nice set of directional lights. Thanks again.

Drew,

There are numerous options for you to choose from on these lights from very plain to my personal favorites which look like this.

eBay is probably your best bet if you decide you want a set, lots to choose from with pricing to match, good luck.
