I'm looking at buying a 1950 3100. I've been in love with these pickups ever since I was knee high to a duck. I love the split window of the 47-53 but I prefer the grill of the '54. How difficult and how much fabrication will it take to do a grill swap?

The 54 fenders have a recess in them to accommodate the grill you like, the hood is also different. Best bet may be to source the hood, grill and fenders from a 54'.
