What I need to know is if the bumpers are different, hole locations ect, and also what about 3/4 ton? I have a GMC FC 253 and want to put a rear bumper on, haven't had any luck yet finding a 1 ton bumper but seems like there's a few 1/2 ton parts available. Please set me straight on this. Interesting the restoration manual lists them all as chrome for 49.

They are not the same as Chevy s either .
1947 and 1948 GMC(s) have a distinct style bump.
I have two 1948 GMCs, a 1/2t short bed pickup and a 1 ton flatbed, both have the same style front bumper, rears are commercial style heavy duty steel bumpers.
Never saw a 1 ton flat bed with a pickup bumper, except 1 ton pickup.
