Finally got around to installing it, plus a set of leds under the tailgate. Hopefully, now people following me will get the message when I'm slowing down/stopping!

In addition, I didn't mention this in my earlier post, but I did do a slight modification to the Safty-Lite. Instead of the single 1156 bulb that it came with, I have installed 60 leds (6 strips with 10 leds apiece) to get more even and brighter illumination. The strips I used are made by Alpena, and are very bright. The strip under the tailgate is also made by Alpena. If anyone is interested to see how it's setup, I can pull the cover and lens and get a pic or two of it.

Every little bit helps! Especially with all the 'texting' SUV people now.

The strips have a very strong 3M adhesive on the backside, just made sure the surface was perfectly clean before I put them in. Once they were stuck down, they were stuck solid. I have the run staggered, with 3 of them wired to the left, 3 to the right. Here they are on.

I'm going to convert an old second set of lights on my truck but they are round.
