For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 52 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 52 | I have a '54 chevy 4 speed trans I got for almost nothing, but the gear shift lever is missing. There is a junk truck on a friends farm that is rotted away gone, total trash almost but the trans is in it, but it's up on a hill, can't get to it etc. I just want to get the gear shift lever. how does it come out?
Whether you think you can or can't, you're right.
Also--in 2004, I invented the spotting alert network in stovebolt after seeing so many trucks when driving around. So that means I am cool.

The shop manual shows a tool. I use a mokey wrench on its side. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 | Push down on retainer and turn ...pic... ...click...
