Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 127 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 127 | Okay So I know that the Primary lining is the shorter lining and always goes towards the front of the wheel or truck. I know the Secondary lining is the longer lining and always goes towards the rear of the wheel or truck. Here is the question: which way do the adjusting stars face? I know the right side star is next to one shoe while the left side faces the other, I just can't remember which is which? I want to make sure my brakes were put on properly, thanks guys! | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | Someone will post the clear/correct answer.
The practical answer is to orient the adjuster star so that you can adjust through the hole in the backing plate. You can make this decision "by eye" when you put the shoes on.
