Should this be stuck to the support with epoxy or some other adhesive as I have seen in other applications. There doesn't appear to be signs there was any "stick-um" on it before plus I don't know if the cowl seal would lift the sheetmetal off the support when the hood was closed. I remember seeing a fiber cushion material attached with a black tar as a metal to metal separator on hoods on some rigs. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 19 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 19 | I was wondering the same thing. I am starting to work on my hood on '50 and the sheet metal does not touch the brace and there is nothing between them. On my '51, there are some foam rubber-type pads between the brace and hood.
