I'll probably buy a shifter from a scrapyard, with the tab already on it,rather than try and weld one up. If I'm lucky,I'll be able to find a good switch as well. Whatcha think? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | | | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 1,159 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 1,159 | Wow,Bill ! That's the set-up! I didn't even know that was an available accessory in'55. Back-up's a bolt-on tab,on the shifter. Thought it was welded. I learned how to drive,in my friend's '66 G.M.C.,but that was back in'69,so don't remember how the unit was attached, except for the button on the trans pan. THANKS!! | | |
