Does anyone know how much a 3100 and/or a 3200 1/2 ton Task Force pickup weighs (empty of course)? I'm looking to replace a jack for my truck.

it'll weigh at least a 1/2T less than the GVW, or about 3000# depending on how it's equipped, but unless you're thinking of a jack that will lift all 4 wheels off the ground at once, the curb weight doesn't mean anything - are you sure you'll never need to fix a flat on the road when it's loaded? do you want to get a jack that's 'just enough'? get a quality bottle jack with a 5 ton capacity and you'll be able to do most anything needed, anything less is false economy

Bill - I don't plan on having all 4 wheels off the ground at once. I'm just thinking of having to change a tire on the road in an emergency. I have an older 4 ton bottle jack that I'll probably just use for my car and get something stronger for the truck like a 5 or 7 ton jack.

Your gross vehicle weight for a 3104 pickup would not be more than 5000 lbs. A 2ton jack would be more than enough to change a wheel/tire.

I usually lean toward the side of "more is better" when it comes to bottle jacks. it makes me feel a little more comfortable as long as it's not overkill.

Had to weigh my stock 1959 short bed step side with a 235 in the DMV registration process. It was 3,580 lbs.
