I was looking for a new cab floor for my 1940 ton and a half Chevy in Jim Carter's online catalog.
there are two items listed that may be the right part one is listed as Hole Cover, Battery Floor $19.50 The other is listed as floorboard section fiberglass 4 speed $54.90. The thing is they both show the same line drawing! Am I looking at the right thing? If they are the same thing I'll buy the $19.50 one. :rolleyes: I'm really good at wallet math. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks Ron

I don't know if they label items differently for the '40, but in the AD trucks the "hole cover, battery floor" is just that, a cover for the battery which fits into a rectangular hole in the floor. The other item, "floorboard section, fiberglass, 4-speed" is the removable center floor section over the transmission.

Are those the items you're looking for, or do you need patch panels? Again, AD parts catalogs have floor, toeboard, firewall, inner and outer cowl panels; I haven't looked for '40 parts... yet.
