I need exhaust for my build now. There is none.


'60 235 engine. I think the flange can be bought at Napa. Does the exhaust pipe weld to the flange and is there a gasket between flange and manifold? Or is the flange pipe splayed and inserted into the header?

Any secrets on where to source cheap exhaust pipe and bends?

Lastly, does the exhaust need to run all the way to the rear or can it terminate out the side or underneath before the axle?

The exhaust pipe uses a donut gasket where it bolts up to the manifold of the engine.
I've seen people exit the exhaust out in front of the rear tire before. Best to have the tail pipe come out from under the body.

Cheap can be done, shop around muffler shops for best deal. Mock up pieces have it bent and install yourself. I've noticed where I live the prices are all over the place for this work and quality does not always go with price. In your favor, you have a very simple system. you can post a wanted add here for the flange, pipe needs flare to fit and the donut.
