Anyone know if the rear mounts on the crossmember of a 6400 are the same as a smaller truck ? I am specifically referring to the ones at Jim Carter, # ME 219.

Old trucks

The gal I talked with last week didn't know and I haven't gotten a chance to call the "tech Line" between 2 and 4 pm... frown

This is for a '57 crossmember and '68 bellhousing.

those mount pads work, no reason the model would be different if they all use the same engines and transmissions

I tend to agree but all the sites list them for up to 1 ton. I didn't know if the 2 ton had a wider crossmember and needed a different mount.

the mount points on the cross member have to be in the right place and orientation to bolt up to the bellhousing, which is the standard - vendors only list all sorts of things "up to 1T" cuz they know nothing about the big trucks, they would prolly tell you all the cab parts only fit up to 1T wink

My parts books confirm the rear engine mounting pads kits are the same 54-59 Series 3-4-5-6-7-8, part number 3760997.

Excellent, thank you, Mike
That confirms the belief they are all the same.
I will get them ordered tomorrow. I'm hoping to start the 292 install in a couple weeks.
