This pertains to TF trucks. I read all the tips and was prepared for restoring everything in the doors for the windows and vent glass.
I am using all parts from Car and Truck in Orange Ca.
Everything worked great, and yes, you might as well trim the clips on the window wipes to start with. But another thing I ran into: was the curved ends are supposed to run behind the big window run. This caused a problem with installing, and also caused a "binding" spot for the window frame.
What I did was carefully make a mark on the wipes and cut them off even with the window run, using a cutoff wheel. (the same one used to trim the clips)
This solved two problems at once. Easy installation & no binding.
Thanks for the tips from everyone on other things. After painting the door, I only spent about 2 hours getting every thing back and DONE.
