Hi guys I haven't been around here much lately since I became distracted by tuning and modifying my new to me Duramax pickup. It is a new found love the power you can make with one of these things while still having a well mannered daily driver is incredible.
Now the new truck and its power has sparked an interest in truck pulling bringing me back to the Bulldog.
At this point I would love to but can't afford to build a Duramax/Allison combo for both trucks but if you have followed the Bulldog build you know I have already built a high power gas burner for it. Now to the change in plans. The new truck will stay a very fun to drive daily driver and become a hauler for the Bulldog, the Bulldog will become a sled puller.
I plan on leaving it a fully functional dump truck and will remain street legal and capable of hauling the ocational load.
For now this is just a crazy idea but what do you all think?

Hy HevyHauler, glad to see you back. It is incredible how much low end grunt you can get out of the diesels isn't it. I've been toying with the idea of one of them powering one of my trucks...now to win the lottery!

Well still putting most of my attention into the Duramax
I built the transmission with a Suncoast GMax-6R kit and installed a Goerend triple disc converter with billet stator. Swapped the turbo out for a Danville Performance 3794 stg.2 replaced all the turbo piping and Y-bridge with high flow stuff from Dirty Hooker Diesel and exhaust manifolds and up pipes from PPE. Had the ECM tuned with EFI Live buy PPEI. This truck weighs almost 8,000 lbs and flat out rips. At present it is putting somewhere between 600 and 650 HP and around 1,200 ft.lbs. to the ground.
Here is a short video.

The 64 GMC is officially retired I sold the 22.5 wheels too another member here and now just sold the tires off too my neighbor. I will keep parts that will work on the 56 sell what I can and scrap the rest.
I have to clear out some of the extras I have laying around before I get started back on the Bulldog. May also have a 65 C-60 going up for sale feel free to drop me a line if interested, I haven't really made up my mind on that one yet.

Hey there gentlemen still have the bulldog but still safety stowed away with nothing new done to it. I am absolutely without a doubt A.D.D. (LOL) still distracted by the Duramax, however had a lot of fun. The Duramax dubbed the Mistress weighs in at 7800 lb and has run a best 1/4 mile of 12.88 @ 104 mph. Lots of fun at the drag strip but have yet to hook a sled with her. I also found another distraction of the two wheel type, I had a 2005 Kawasaki Concours 1,000 given to me and liked it so much I went out and bought a new 2016 Concours 1,400. If you are not familiar with the Kawasaki Concours it is a super sport touring machine based on the Ninja platform. The Concours has a more comfortable riding position and unlike the Ninja is designed for long distance touring but still possess the handling and power DNA of the Ninja, with Creature Comforts such as heated grips and luggage.
