So I am ready to talk to my painter (Woohoo!) I want to paint it forester green. Where do I go to get this color in single stage, and what kind of paint should I use. If you haven't figured it out yet, I don't know squat about paint.

There is a Bolter (Hardshell)in Louisa County, VA who has an awesome painter. Don't know how far you two are apart, but I am sure tempted to bring my truck to his painter when I get to that point.

We have used PPG Omni and DCC Concept 2-part single stage paints. They are good and $$ and $$$. If your PPG supplier cannot find codes, call PPG color library (the phone number is in the 47-55 paint Tech Tip).

Some people have reported good results using paints from TCP Global.

I had my '51 painted two years ago in Forester Green. My painter looked the colour up his computer and it spit out the formula and it is dead on.
I can find out more information from him if you like. I too know squat about paint but, it sure looks pretty.

Thanks all! Now I DO know squat about paint. And that is to ask my painter. If my painter can't answer my questions like you have done for me, then I guess I need to find another painter. Thanks again.
