I have noticed after 2000 miles of driving, my front fenders are getting beat by rocks from the inside. The black paint has a few (stars) in it from were rocks hit it. Does anybody have any idea on what I could line the fenders with? The
Line-X guy though $100 per fender would be fair, I didn't eek . I bought some Peal-&-Stick roofing mat, it worked great till I parked in the sun. It fell right off  . Undercoating seem to be the next step. If it doesn't work, then I am stuck with clean up. Any ideas? Joe

I'd just use some of the spray-on undercoating. Maybe a few coats of it over a couple days.

I bought some fiberglass fenders that the previous owner had sprayed with bed liner, such as linex. I'm not sure which brand it is, but it's real tough and I haven't noticed any stars in the paint so far.

good luck.

I was at my local paint shop and I noticed they had the same stuff that they use on Rhino or Lin-X bed liners. They also had the generic little spayer too. Didn't look too hard to do yourself.

I thinking the do it yourself bed liner coating may be the way to go. I don't need the whole fender done, just a small area towards the back. I will have to check out my local paint dealer and see whats avalible. Sure wish I would of thought about this before painting! Joe

what about the generic bedliner stuff u can buy by the gallon? Ive seen it at Walmart and local chain parts stores. looks like u can just roll it on. Let us know what you did, i will be looking at doing that in the future.
