I am in the process of swapping out the rear end and getting the suspension all set up. Now, for the question. Looking at the rims on the truck, they appear to be original, I think they are 17", and have gmc hub caps on them. Is it possible these are not split rims? I see somewhat of a ring around the outter edge of the rim, but that ring is solid and doesn't have a slit in it like I have seen on the few other spilt rims I have ever seen. Any thoughts? They may be three-piece wheels (I know that at least a lot of the 60-66 era 17" wheels were). If they are, there will be a big snap ring in between the outer rim/ring and the center/rest of the wheel. EDIT: And the outer ring/rim will be a solid/continuous ring as you described.
