Just recently my speedometer quit working though connections hadn't changed. I took the gauge out and lubed it, also lubed the cable, and the odometer which never worked, put it back in and they both worked for about 1/10th of a mile. I totally don't get it. It works fine when I spin it, and there is only one way the cable can connect, right? What am I missing here??? Only one way to connect it Make sure the connection nut on the back is not to tight. You can pull the inner cable to inspect it. Hadn't thought connection could be over tightened, I'll turn it back a notch and see if that's it. BTW does the same apply to the trans connection? I think the gauge stops like the second video & that it's good.
