Haven't been on in awhile. My wife and I bought a ranch in Kansas and relocated from Ohio back to Kansas after 3 years. Since the move I have planted crops, fixed up the place, and most importantly, gotten the 4 horsemen back together. I have finally gotten around to fixing up my 49 4400. Runs pretty smooth now. Early 235.

Anyways. To finish getting it roadworthy I pulled the wheels and had the local tire shop put on Samson tires. Highway fronts, traction rears. Fairly reasonable price mounted with tube, flap, and labor. CR's in Wamego Ks. Not far from the Tinman.

Found out my truck has 4 lock ring ring type 2 piece rims, and 2 3 piece rims. All matching center designs. The shop actually preferred the 3 piece design for ease of installation.

Plan to take it out on the maiden voyage tomorrow after only having driven in the yard for the past 5 years.

This fall it will be hauling corn to the elevator. Can't wait!

I would call Nebraska Tire. I have dealt with these guys and they are good people to work with. Looks like they have some 7.50X20 on order.

Any small town farm supply store or co-op (MFA, Orschliens, Tractory supply, etc) can get Power Kings. 7.50x20 or 8.25x20, Hiway tread or M+S. Here in MO I get them from the local MFA (In a town of 250) for $180, (7.50x20) includes flap, tube seperate.
