My 1953 Chevy Truck came with an autolite turn signal. I am guessing this was added in the 60's or 70's. I would like to find a 6 volt turn signal that would have been installed by the dealer in 1953. I have done a lot of searching on the internet but I haven't been able to find anything definitive on the exact type/model that would have been installed. Can someone post a photo of an original dealer installed turn signal from 1953?

Thanks!

Here is the GM 1953 truck Accessory Direction Signals. However, the dealer could have installed any brand of turn/direction signals.

The unit illustrated by Tim is similar to this (passenger version) Guide 6004 which was available in a version for trucks. These are still out there as NOS or NORS on eBay if you are looking for original or near set-ups. The 1953 Chevrolet Accessories Manual has all the installation details. Most of the vendors carry reprints of this manual. The part numbers given in that manual are 986551 and 986636 for the install packages.
