I pulled my non original 230 out of my 63 c-10 and put in a 1963 283.I bought a 283 V-8 radiator and fabricated some lower brackets and installed the radiator in the stock location where the v-8 radiator would have been located from the factory .Now that the radiator is sitting higher ,the fan is not centered in the radiator and is more towards the bottom of the radiator that the top. This seems like it would not cool as well and be hard to get a shroud to fit .The six cylinder radiator is 18 inches wide and the new radiator I have is 25 inches wide.I have 24 inches of room between my frame rails ,so I was wondering if I could get a 3 core radiator that is 22 inches wide and drop it in the lower 6 cylinder location between the frame rails and just install wider lower radiator brackets .That would center up my fan and bring my fan closer to the radiator. But my question is would it cool.I do live in Texas but I am not running and AC unit the motor is a mild build .Any advice you can give me would be great.
Thank You
