Is there a way to replace just the socket fitting from the top of the upper shock mounts? Can you get replacement fittings and press or weld them in?
The mounts themselves are solid and it seems like a shame to replace the whole thing.

They come with rubber bushings and 2 cup washers.

Is the hole in the mount worn larger than normal due to failed bushings. If so, I suppose you could weld the hole closed and then drill the proper hole size for the shock shaft. But, in the end all this would be easiest if you remove the entire mount to either replace or weld.

Some of mine are missing or loose. The brackets are otherwise solid, with a clean hole where the cup thingee should be. It seems that a replacement would have to be welded or pressed on, or threaded together from both sides of the hole, since the shock pushes and pulls in both directions?
