ES26L and ES26R DO NOT WORK, despite them being listed more than one place for this application.
Does anyone have a valid part number? Do the 1.5 ton interchange with the 2 ton?

I didn't think finding parts for this truck would be this hard.

Also what are the W M Y O designations. My truck is a PW model.

All designations below are for 1-1/2 ton, 2 ton, bus, and COE Y=1941 M=1942, 1944, 1945 O=1946 interim P=1946 late
I'm not sure what the W model is.
I wonder if the P series had a different set of tie rod ends???

The W in your prefix means you have a 160" wheel base. Check to see if your front axle has 3681101 forged in the I-Beam. If so you need the following tie rod ends. 1946-50 2-Ton, DUBL-DUTI, SBC...assy., left (use w/3681101 frgd. on "I" beam) (5 long) (1-16 L.H. thd)...609747 1946-50 2-Ton, DUBL-DUTI, SBC...assy., right (use w/3681101 frgd. on "I" beam) (5 long) (1-16 R.H. thd)...609748 Doesn't mention male or female thread... Hope this helps. Mike B | | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,384 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,384 | Filling Station - ML-20L and ML-20R
That is what I bought and installed on a '48 2 ton. worked perfect.
In case you need for future reference, I know looking for 2 ton parts is a job because most suppliers don't list anything over 1 tom;
ML-24 king pin set
FS-148 drag link repair kit
The description doesn't always sound like what it really is.

However I have found several references to the 609747 and 609748 being listed as 1.5 ton units. This reference is from collectorsautosupply.com 1946-59 1 ½ TON TRUCK L.H. HEAVY DUTY TIE ROD END 609747 NOS $54 1946-59 1 ½ TON TRUCK R.H. HEAVY DUTY TIE ROD END 609748 NOS $54
Ebay has several of the same descriptions.
Not sure, maybe they interchange?
How do you have so much knowledge of these big bolts?
Thanks Jim Sears, I'll look into the FS parts.

That may be where the confusion come from. Do the pictures on ebay look right? You asked "How do you have so much knowledge of these big bolts?" Lots of books and years of research. 609747 and 609748 are the correct part numbers for the 1.5 ton HD and the 2 ton tie rod ends.
Thanks!
