So I was taking my daughter to Lacrosse practice last night and passed by an AD in light green metallic finish. Man, I gotta find out who owns that, I think to myself.

On our return trip back home, we pass by a couple rat rods, and I realize where the AD was headed, over to the Wednesday night at Arby's in Leonardtown. Hey, it's only a stone's throw out of our way in going home, so we decide to swing by. As we're turning in, there sits the same AD on the side of the road, hood up and emergency flashers blinking away. So I stop to render assistance, and come to find out the owner was Billy Higgs. He said he's worked out most of the bugs, but still needs to fix the GAS GAUGE. So I ran home, got a five gallon fuel jug, stopped by Dash in, and a few minutes later he was back in business. Glad it was an easy fix. So don't you guys harass him too much over running out of gas!! Truck looks sharp Billy!

Good intel, Robert!! Oh B--I--L--L--Y--Y--Y!!!!

Oh yes we can!! (harass him for running out of gas!) And we will! Most other things, no. But running out of gas??? That's fair territory, as they say in baseball. 1st rule of running out of gas .... don't get busted!

We can come up with a name for it, but should be awarded for the best, uh lack of fuel story!

Robert -- Fully understand. If schedule permits, would welcome your company for any length of time you'd care to stop by over the weekend.

I'll second that, Mr. Sergeant at Arms. Further, I propose that we add a rider to the motion to the effect that all motions made/brought forward must have the "Motion Tax" paid by the member making the motion. Said tax to be paid in beer. Payable to the SAA acting on behalf of the President. Further, I nominate myself and the Camp Commandant to be the Co-Treasurers of the paid motion taxes and that we be paid a stipend for our professional duties out of the collected revenues.

I could hear the bus wheels rolling over Billy from here! But I get the point. No selfies from me next time I forget to reinstall the fuel line, even though SWEET asked me ten times if that could be the source of my problem.

I'm not the kind of guy that would criticize or otherwise accuse a fellow bolter for running out of gas, knowing his gas gauge does not function properly. Because I know what would happen to me, next time I was out cruzing in my truck, the one with the non-functioning gas guage.

But, IF I was the kind of guy that would do that, I would wonder what the "H" is he doing driving around in his truck without a fuel container in tote, with fuel in it, knowing his fuel guage is not functioning properly???

But, like I said, I'm not that kind of bolter!!

Jim, I've been in that same spot myself, and I believe it also was a gauge issue. All in good fun. I was glad to help out.

I know it was Brother...just pokin' at ya! My sense of humor seems to need work.

We can not secure the BLUE FALCON until a new Knight of the Order of the Blue Falcon has been ordained by the president at our next convocation!!!

I think we have two supplicants:

1. MPandC -- For Throwing Billy Higgs under the Bus
2. FourBrads -- For throwing himself under the Bus (and trying to drag the SAA with him)

I for one would never cast stones to wart a fellow truck enthusiast for A, running out of gas or B, not having a working fuel gauge. Ahhh, guilty as charged!!!!
I ran out out fuel with the bed of the truck loaded with family and friends seated on hay bails at the start of the local neighborhood parade. How embarrassing to have the local Girl Scout troupe and the old geezer in the 52 Ford convertible with Miss Dayton riding high in the back, have to go around you with a sneer as you lose your place in line. Fortunately there was a gas can near by and I did make the event! Still I caught holy heck from my co-participants!

And this is all quite beside the point, actually ... The Order Of The Blue Falcon, by it's very Nature, isn't given to the one who runs out of gas (um, that would be the "Garland of the Dappled Antelope." or something like that ... ahem, where were we? oh yes ... No, dear brother, the OTFBF is bestowed (in this case) upon the one whose slings and arrows fly freely, who grabs by the collar and the belt and castes his own brother beneath the speeding Greyhound.

So, Mike Roache ... This one's for you!!

DON'T leave your gas ... FUEL ... cans with Hambone.

Although, I think / I doubt he'll ever make a gas / diesel mistake again. Doesn't taste too good.
