Then a hard line into pump and from pump to carb. I would think a hard line from tank to pump will work loose over time due to flexing of the cab on chassis. I also installed an in-line filter in my hose at the tank.

| | | | | Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 899 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 899 | Recommend a filter right out of tank also, unless you have a new tank. Lots of crud can build up over time and the sooner you get it out the better. Less chance of pump contamination too!

| | | | | Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 224 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 224 | Thanks , I ordered new tank yesterday ...looked on e-bay and could not find a filter that had connections for 5/16 fittings , that's what I wanted ,so I ordered a glass bowl filter ,when and if I find one I'll install it before the pump ( I don't like the filters that push on and use clamps ) .When I started I was going to try to use all the original parts . now after 8 mos. I'm using almost all new parts..
