The rims are 6 lug . Does anyone know what rims will clear | | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 1,747 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 1,747 | Try a search for this. Lots of ideas. Some have trimmed just a bit on the wheel and others have sourced new wheels. The new wheel issue is that 16 inch less than 8 inch wide is hard to find. With 6 lugs any way. Some new wheels will need to have clips installed for the hubcaps. Trim rings? I don't know.

I got 5 wheels from them that accept modern radial tires and disc brakes AND they will either fix your existing hubcaps to accommodate their wheels, or if you don't have them, they will sell you the correct ones that work with their tires. You cant lose. And at about $94 a wheel or so, its very reasonable to know you have reliable wheels. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 2,557 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 2,557 | I have the wheelsmith artillery wheels on my suburban.Jim carter sells new hubcaps that are made to fit them. I'm very pleased with them.

It required me to add a 1" spacer in order to get the rims to clear the disks. Tucker sells the spacer for $200 i think it was. I didnt have much choice since i don't have much metal laying here of the equipment to make it myself.
They told me that i could space it with washers to get the correct depth and that 3/8" is what they actually figured it out to be.
