Hi guys and gals I am new to this forum but already have a question I purchased a 62 short bed fleet side last year and after a 20 to 30 year coma have revived it through a motor and suspension upgrade and in my travels I used a 69 suburban steering due to the fact that I already owned it, anyway I have had nothing but trouble trying to find a color coded wiring diagram for both trucks on line and had hoped that some one here could lead me in the right direction. Thanks in advance, Fred

Search the web 67-72 or specifically 62 and 69 wiring diagram or schematic, all kinds will come up. Suitable for printing. Everybody always says this, but it is true: Get a manual for your truck, you really will use it a lot.

GM is great with colors, start with these and the rest are easy with a test light.

Brown is taillights

Dark green is right turn

Light green is backup lights

Yellow is left turn

Rest in Peace
