I just finished getting the momtor in my truck (LS1/4L80e). Now I am finishing up small parts of the wiring. I am trying to get the tail lights/tun signals done.

Can anyone tell me what the functions are of the 5 terminals sitting the the connector on the lower portion of the steering colum (looks like this from top view) http://73-ls1.com/63truck/Connector.bmp

There is no male connector going to it so I have no rear lights. I think I'll have to build a small harness. Thanks in advance.

Super73,

I have no definitive answer for the question, but maybe this site will help. Good luck.

HELLO Stuart, your tail lights will come off of your headlight switch, the five wires should be six wires 1 for lt front,1 for rt front 1 for lt rear 1 for rt rear,1 for stop(from brake switch)1 for power(unless power is not in that plug) is there any other wires going up the colum? the dash indacators will come of the front turn signals, the stop lights will come through the rear turn signals,

Giant,

I did not pull the connector off the colum and was feeling it out with a finger so there very well may be 6 terminals there. As far as anything else on the column, I didn't see anything. I'll look at the headlight switch and see if there is a harness coming off of it. Perhaps the other end is hanging there and I just don't see it smile Sure would make life a little easier.

Any idea which terminals go to what? If I knew the power one, I'm sure I could figure out the rest fairly quickly. Thanks in advance.
