Technically, I guess this would be 55/2nd as the earlier model, identified as 55/1st was still 6 volts. I might be damp on this one! The 2nd series came out about March of '55, if you want to pin it even closer. In addition to the trucks, the first 6 or so Corvettes in '55 (the last 6 cylinder models) also were 6 volt.
