I've already found I do not like removing the screws along the edge of the door/floor to gain access to the battery box cover. It seems like there has to be a better set up than taking out the screws and lifting the jute and rubber floor mat. Anyone have remote terminals or a method to charge the battery that doesn't require screw removal and floor mat lifting? As always, thanks and I know you all have been at this a lot longer than me.

The positive cable from the battery goes to the starter so, why remove the floormat to get to the battery? Here is a pic of the drivers side of my floormat, the passenger is just the opposite. P.S. You can do the same with a battery charger. Another good recommendation, get a Optima battery, it will fit just perfect on a diagonal in your battey tray (6 volt that is)! AD_Pickup: I guess I never thought of using that method. You are correct. BTW: my floor mat set up looks identical to yours. I think I'll screw the mat back down and try your method. Why make it harder than it needs to be? Keep it simple...
