Today I get a call from the son of the guy I bought my 52 from and he has found 2 more 1 tons. He thought they were late 50's models but they turned out to be a 61 with a small firetruck bed on it and basically complete with all 6 18" factory wheels, 5 tires still hold air! It looks like it was running not very long ago so hopefully the old 6 will be in good shape. The other is a 65 w/V8 and flatbed dump with low removable grain bed in separate pieces. It is a decent and relatively complete truck as well with all six factory 18" wheels and all tires look good and are holding air. This 65 also had a set of factory GM A-body(Chevelle, Cutlass, etc.) Strato bucket seats in nice shape to re-cover and I just happen to have several of these cars as I have been into them for 30 years. I do not know much else as I basically just got them unloaded this evening. I did not take pics but I will next week. | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | Way to go torpedo. Unless those front fenders were changed,1965 emblems were up on the filler panel, behind the hood. Check the vin # What are your plans? Cheers, steve sr.

I hope that both motors are good, they are pretty clean and complete. I did not get a title so was not sure on the 64/65? I am going to try and get them running and see if I can make them roadworthy if possible. I have some 16" dually wheels and tires to put on one of them to get a nice set of factory 18" wheels and good tires to go back on my 52 Nitro truck. My originals are pretty rusty and the tires were bad. Not sure what else is going to happen until I find out if they run/drive etc. I have way too many projects but could not pass these up! | | |
