Hi, I need to pull and replace the carrier bearing, once the rear section of the shaft is out, how do I remove the yoke in the middle, to remove the carrier and replace the bearing? it appears to be a spline sleeve but my manual makes it appear there is a threaded connecter also? can anyone explain it? so I don't ruin it
thanks

Very easy job. Unbolt the yoke, and remove from the tube, you might as well replace the donut while you are at it, as they cost pennys.

Once that is stripped, you might be lucky and the shaft will just drop out, if not a bearing splitter will be required, or a press to push the shaft out. Once out remove bearing and oil seal and fit new. Rebuild. Simple really.

Pretty much covers the rebuild of the closed front half
of the 3600 drive shaft.
