Does anyone know how to get the gear off? Or where to get a drive gear? 1940 1/2 ton 4 speed. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 1,321 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 1,321 | When GM sold them,the gear was part # 602798 and fit various 1937-1946 1/2 ton trucks with 4 speeds. You could contact these people & see if they can help you with your search. Make sure the spiral gear that drives the speedometer gear is OK or you could destroy another gear.
