What year? You should be able to insert the straightened end of a small paper clip into the hole and release the tumbler. That is the way to release the '64-'66 Chevy truck ignition tumbler. I hope this helps.

In the case of Dbone's '51, if I remember right, it only has off and on. It has to be turned on to remove the cylinder. | | |
