ok question time // can the guards off a series 2 , 55 , 56 , 57 chevy truck fit on a 58 twin headlight apache and if they do what happens in the grill deptment ??? have been told have to use the wider chevy truck guards ??? true or false ???

what are "guards" headscratch if that's Kiwi for fenders, generally the 55-59 ["Task Force" series] share nearly everything except the front fenders, hoods and grills, and for a couple reasons the fenders are not interchangeable without changing the whole front clip

the 58/9 frame is a couple inches longer then the 5-7 frame [see here], the grill surround is totally different, the top inside of the fenders are a bit different curve because wider at front, as is the hood shape to fit the fenders and the hood hinges attach differently .... so short answer, "false" grin

i read the "guard" to mean a brush guard - and he's wondering if a 55-57 unit would interfere with the light beams from the quad headlights and/or airflow for the grill on a 58-59 .. but the original poster could clear that up...
