Hey all, I picked up this locking gas cap off EBay only to find it does not fit my filler pipe.

It appears to be an original item but the 4 small ribs don't allow it to fit into the fill pipe, and even if it did, the two sprung catches would be useless as they are the same size as the fill pipe notches making the locking feature moot. Is there a different fill pipe for the locking cap?

no, but there's a different cap for your year, that looks like an AD cap

Hi guys. New to the forum. Been through this with a cap bought from a major part supplier for old trucks. Stocked and sent a non-vented cap instead of a vented one. If you don't need the Bowtie emblem, go to the Stant website and find the correct part number for your truck. They list locking and non-locking.
