I just sent my seat to get reupholstered. Now that I have seat out of the cab, I thought it would be good to put the rubber floor mats in. I'm looking for something as close to original as possible.

I've done a search on previous posts but didn't come across much for a 1964 high hump truck with a floor shifter and 4x4.

LMC has one in their catalog but not sure how strong this rubber is.

At this time, I'm not going to put any dynamat or other sound suppression material in the cab. When one uses the one piece rubber floor mat, do you need to use any adhesive to keep it in place ?

Any recommendations on the floor mats would be appreciated. Thanks John

The suppliers of these floor mats, are not able to get product, due to tooling issues at the manufacturer. Beware of the aftermarket offing, whereas the quality, fit & finish, is laughable. I was recently at LMC, to get a first-hand look at the rubber mat, they sell. It was essentially a large, flat piece of black rubber/vinyl material, requiring cutting, in order to fit. It wasn't a formed piece, so it would not lay properly, so no thanks.

Try "www.stockinteriors.com" (877) 601 6386 in South Carolina. I believe they make their own mats because I asked for one 8" longer than stock and they said "No Problem!" About $125 if memory serves plus shipping.

I work in the automotive-related tooling business. Recently, we were asked to quote tooling for a Ford floor-mat for 50's vintage Ford's. I find it interesting that us Chevy fans can't get re-pro floor mats for our '60-'66 trucks either. The floor mat is usually the last thing you do after you restore your truck. It's a shame someone can't reproduce them...exactly. Jim
