Buddy of mine had a pin hole in the gas tank on his truck, made sure the gas level was below the hole, fixed it, went another 5 years.Good luck

Brazing works well too.
The pin holes are caused by drops of water that gets into the filter. The drop is heavier than the oil, settles to the bottom and can't evaporate. It turns very acid and eats a hole right where it sits.
