For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 8 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 8 | Does anyone know a if there is a supplier who manufactures a front floor mat for the 1954/55.1 Chevrolet pickup that does not have precut holes for the floor pedals. My truck came equipped with a Hydramatic transmission and I obviously need only one hole for the brake pedal. All of the ones that I have seen are precut for the clutch and brake pedal. Thank you for your help | | | | | Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 433 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 433 | Wally, I purchased a floor mat a few years ago. It has Slits for the brake & clutch pedals. I too have a Hydra-Matic. I believe the reproductions only come the two slits. Also the accelerator pedal set up is different for the Hydra-Matic. I had to modify the mat for that too.

I recently bought a mat for my 52 and didn't want the holes cut out due to having converted mine to an automatic. I got the mat from Classic Parts in Missouri. The holes had perforation type slit on the back side in case you wanted to cut them out.
good luck, let us know what you find. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | I have the mat that Alvin describes, and I intend to do as Alvin describes in my 1954 3104 Hydra-Matic equipped truck.

I saw the Web sight for Classic Parts in Missouri but I could not tell from the picture on their site as to whether it was cut or not. Now I know for sure that it is uncut. I will order one from them and go from there.
Thanks for your help.

The quality and characteristics of reproduction parts change over time. Check with Classic Parts to be sure the mats are uncut.
By the way, I have not yet installed those Ride-Control (Unison) seats in my pick-up - maybe in a year, or two. Thanks, again.

I will check with the classic people in the morning to make sure it is what they advertise. I have been looking at those slits in the mats for over a year and have been thinking of changing it out. Doing a little work on the truck during the non driving season and decided to do it now. That Unison seat is one of the coolest options for these AD trucks. You will enjoy it as much as I do. Thanks again for the info on the mats. Nice to hear from you.
Best Regards
