yes stuart , i blew the big bucks on a new ynz wire harness . i wanted to keep the voltage regulator for looks ( i gutted it ) . i hooked the alt. to the original ( new ) wire from the generator ( now alt. ) to voltage box. there i piggy backed ( joined ) the wire that goes into the amp gauge that connects to the ign. switch ( v.i.a. ) wire that goes to batt. terminal that is on foot starter . maybe w / new battery etc. , the alt does not have to put out any juice yet ? i don't have any lights etc. so i can't do a draw down yet . she really spins w/ the 12 v! thanks for your help . frank
