Should be one wire comin out of the switch housing. Polarity doesn't matter, just hook that wire to +, and run a wire to the body of the light for ground.
You'll probably find there are a couple sweet spots on the spot as you rotate it due to corrosion & hardened lubricants inside the pivots, but for the most part they were fairly hard to kill. Just takes some time & work to clean em up & get them goin again.
