well the main place I would use such paint if I locate it is the bed walls where the fenders bolt to them after going over them with a wire wheel. I am not going to blast it. what I can't de-scale and brush down with the wire wheel and have good useable metal will be cut away and new metal welded in anyway but there's a good bit of fairly light pitted area under those spots that I intend to clean the best I can with my power grinder and paint and move on.I have replaced around 1/4 of the length of the flanges on the fenders that are severely rusted, the rest is cleaning up good enough to suit me. I have stated before- I'm not going into this to build a show truck. I am 65 years old and having fun getting it up and running and with the price of gas it won't be a serious daily driver but when I want to roll it out of the shop and work it or get grandkids behind the wheel to learn to drive an honest truck instead of an airconditioned power assisted slushamatic drive it will be there.
