Well I had some paint maybe 20 years ago that was advertised to both kill rust and create a hard primer surface to be painted over. I can't locate anything like it now and maybe it wasn't as good as advertised. but it seemed to work on an old Jeep I worked over years ago. does anybody know of such a product on the market now? I realize the need to get any loose rust and scale off first but it seems if there is anything like that good out there it would help me. Raymond
