Wow, what a parade / event. John will give you more details and pictures (hopefully). He's still working outside ... moved all those leaves to the compost pile. Now he's gone next door to pick up our two trailers and park 'em back where they belong.
John had a big sign on the sides of Smedley honoring the Marines at Beirut.
The neatest part of the parade ... there was the first batch of folks (VIPs) in vehicles, flags, etc. Then a bunch of Camaros and Vettes, followed by a small marching band. Another long string of newer vehicles. John Vanatta joined our "group of two" military vehicles with his Model A. As we came up the big hill towards the town, people started standing up and clapping as we approached. It was amazing. Many of the guys who appeared to be veterans were saluting the two trucks. I kept getting a lump in my throat.
