If the temp is above 190 it may be getting too hot. Then you will have to remove the thermostat and test it. To do that use a cup of water put it in the microwave and heat it to the temp. stamped on the thermostat (usualy 160 or 180 deg.F.) drop in the thermostat and see if it opens.
