Ed, IIRC, turn signals weren't options until the fifites.

Someone installed these ugly trailer lights on mine and I hate them.

I rewired my parking lights on the front to do 1154/1157 bulbs (the former is 6V the latter is 12V), and they work like a champ.

Since the rear end is not stock -- and will end up becoming a nice flatbed trailer someday -- I just went down to the trailer supply store and got four of those surface mount lights that take 1157's, put them on the bed, and threw some 1154's in there, and I have 4 running lights, 2 blinkers and 2 brake lights. I have everything wired to one of those water-tight plasic terminal boxes under the bed for simplicity's sake.

Now if I could only get those ugly trailer lights off the front! grin
