If you remove the battery (big) wire from the alt. by itself do you loose the draw? If so sounds like the alt. is the problem. But double check and make sure that the Big wire off the alt. dosn't go to anything else. Also check to make sure you hooked up the other 2 wires correctly. I know that it has been posted that you can hook up your alt. bypassing the key switch, if you do you can have an alternator that stays ennergized with the key off or have an engine that wont turn off.
