#97348 09/28/2006 4:26 PM | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 58 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 58 | Hi Guys I'm back, In my last post titled "Alternator Won't Charge" I asked for help installing the alternator on a 55.1st series P/U. Well its in now but I have another problem and would like your advise. There is a small pull on the battery. When I remove the ground strap and use my test light in series between the strap and the ground post I can light the light (something is grounded). If I remove the wires from the alternator the light goes out. My question is: Is there a short in this alternator? Thanks in advance for any advise you can send my way.
