Labor Day!! So far I have spent Friday afternoon on the Burb , but I managed to get the crusty old front end out of it.
axle out I was amazed at how easily the captured ball steering pieces came apart. In the past I have had to fight to get them undone. The kingpins though were an entirely different story. One side required the use of a 10 ton hydraulic press! The oversized kingpin set I ordered is too small for both sets of spindles that I have. Did they make a bigger oversized set back in the day? I'm going to mic out the one that I have today, maybe they sent the wrong one. The passenger side leaf spring has a broken leaf, so that is the chore for today. I will post up as soon as...
